Oglethorpe County Republican Party Goals

2009-2010

         We have the opportunity for outstanding growth and influence in the community, but we must work to achieve this. As such, we have declared goals for the next two years to see this come to fruition.

 County Wide Goals

• To grow the local party membership to 100 by end of 2010
• To increase the share of the Republican vote for candidates in 2010 in Oglethorpe County
• To have a constant presence in the county
• To increase the number of women and youth in the local party
• Double the amount of funds into the treasury
• Have monthly meetings of the local party with speakers throughout 2010
• Have quarterly events throughout 2009 & 2010
• Have local Republican elected officials attend general meetings consistently
• To have 50% of membership consistently attend meetings and work at events
• To have media at every gathering of the party to show our participation in the community

 Precinct Goals

• Hold one event/meeting per quarter to attract new members
• To increase membership in each precinct by 50%
• To increase attendance at county meetings by 25% from each precinct

 Officer Goals

• Chairman
• Vice-Chair
  • Organize any open precincts
  • Work to increase participation of youth and women in the party
  • Help to organize local Teenage Republican group in the high school
• 2^nd Vice-Chair
  • Recruit potential candidates for office and get their continual support of the party
  • Serve as the liaison between the local Republican officials and the party
• 3^rd Vice-Chair
  • Help in the organization of quarterly events of the party
  • Find new ways to raise money within the county
• 4^th Vice-Chair
  • Help to promote the party and obtain new members
  • Help to organize precincts
• 5^th Vice-Chair
  • Promote the local party through the media
  • Oversee the publishing of a quarterly newsletter
